Strategist is a specialist or expert in strategy. Some of the jobs with strong strategy elements are:
- Strategic planning associate
- Middle and front line managers
- Strategic analyst, Strategic planner
- Consultant and academics
- Senior executive team, CEO, board of director
- Managing director
Difference between strategic planner and consultant
-I see picture as a whole essential for planning
- I am very committed into tasks that I like doing
- I am realistic

Difference between strategic planner and consultant
Strategic planners are those who have formal responsibility for coordinating the strategy process of defining strategy, its direction, and decision making on resource allocation to realize this strategy. Strategic planners can also be called strategy director or corporate development managers.
Strategy consultants or external experts are those that organizations seek for accurate diagnosis of strategic problems. They are responsible for providing practical, effective and accurate solutions. As a part of their job, they analyze, prioritize and generate alternative strategic solution. They provide consultation to organization by transfer their knowledge and assist them in strategic change.

Business Leader: Steves Jobs
Strategic ability and impact: Before Steves jobs joined apple it was on the verge of bankruptcy, apple produced computers that were outdated, and products had no sex appeal. Steves Job changed the scenario of how apple functioned. Instead of competing with Microsoft, Steves jobs persuaded Bill gates to invest in apple. The strategic ability of Steves jobs SAVED APPLE and turned it into “What it stands for today”- a sleek invention
Scientist or inventor: Stephen Hawkins
His achievements in science are commendable. He has received numerous awards. He is the research director at the university's Centre for Theoretical Cosmology. His work involves lot of planning and strategy development. His long term commitment has resulted in great discoveries related to cosmology.
Sports manager: Alex Ferguson
If we look through the history of Manchester United, we see that before Alex ferguson became the manager, the team was having consecutive failures. The strategic ability of Ferguson, his determination showed results from just 2nd and 3rd matches. The rest is History.
Civil rights campaigner: Anuradha Koirala
Yes, She is the CNN hero of 2011. She is the founder of Maiti Nepal that vows against girl trafficking and provides opportunities for affected girls to reinvent their life. I believe she is a strategist because what she envisioned years ago are bearing fruits today. Every year she saves thousands of lives from being misused. She has hundred of girls under her wings; Maiti Nepal provides home based trainings to them. The handicraft goods produced by these women are sold and the money is used to aid other distressed girls.
Musician, writer, film-maker or artists = Steven Spielberg
From stunt actions to awesome graphical portrayal of story, Steven Spielberg is not an uncommon name for all. His films are all worthy of grammy. His recipe for success is his ability to plan and device strategy for success of his films be it the use of latest technology or marketing.

As a part of my learning experience, I would like to gain some professional experience in management field for few years. I believe entry level jobs like Business development officers, assistant strategic analyst and even some middle level jobs like manager (general, marketing) will fit my interest.
One of my major skills that I believe will prove as a valuable asset is my social and influential skill i.e. “Ability to persuade”. Some of the other skills that I possess include:
